🚂 Mexican Train

Free Mexican Train score keeper that knows the rules

Mexican Train is thirteen rounds of counting dots, which is exactly when a paper score sheet gets smudged and somebody's total goes missing. Enter each player's pips at the end of the round and tick whoever went out, and the sheet keeps the running totals, names the engine double for the next round and works out the winner, tiebreak included.

What is built in
  • The console names the engine double for every round, from double 12 down to the double blank
  • Enter each player's pips; whoever went out scores 0, and a blocked round is fine too
  • Double-6, double-9, double-12, double-15 or double-18 sets, or a shorter game
  • House rules: the double blank worth 50, 25 a blank, or high score wins

How to keep score

How Mexican Train scoring works

When a player plays their last domino, or nobody can play, the round ends. Tick whoever went out (they score 0) and enter the pips left in everyone else's hand. A blocked round, where nobody went out, is fine too: leave everyone unticked.
