Run a Farkle tournament from a phone

Farkle is a table game at heart, but head-to-head games make a lively bracket: two players racing to the target, highest total through. Score All runs the draw and scores every game with the same opening minimum and farkle penalty.

Every game uses Farkle rules
  • One row a round: what each player banked, 0 for a farkle
  • The opening minimum (500 to get on the board) is checked for you
  • Three farkles in a row cost 1,000, or 500, or nothing, as your table plays
  • Everyone gets the same number of turns before the winner is called

The parts that usually need a whiteboard

Two players per match

A bracket match has two sides, so tournament games are head to head. Tables of three to eight are scored one game at a time.

One set of house rules

Choose the target, the points to get on the board and the three-farkle penalty once for the event. A game to 5,000 keeps the bracket moving.

Ties

Leave ties on "play another round" so every match has a winner.

Questions

Farkle tournament FAQ

Can I run a Farkle tournament?

Yes, as head-to-head games in single or double elimination, a round robin or king of the hill. Each game is scored round by round on a phone and the winner moves on automatically.

Can a tournament game have four players?

No. A bracket match has two sides. Bigger tables work outside a tournament.

Can I print a Farkle bracket?

Yes, free and without an account, from the printable bracket generator. Running it live with table assignments is part of the Pro plan.
