What the format actually does
The schedule
Pairings use the circle method: one player stays fixed and the rest rotate, which produces the shortest possible schedule with everybody playing everybody once.
Odd numbers
With an odd field one player sits out each round, and the bye rotates so it lands on everyone equally.
Standings
Wins first, then point differential. Score All keeps the table live as matches finish.
How long it takes
A field of n players needs n-1 rounds and n(n-1)/2 matches. Eight players is 28 matches, which is a long night on one court and a comfortable one on four.

How many games is a round robin?
n(n-1)/2. Six players is 15 matches, eight is 28, ten is 45. Split into two groups if that is too many for the time you have.
Can I do a round robin then a knockout?
Yes. Run the round robin, then create a single elimination event with the top finishers seeded in order.
How are ties broken?
Wins, then point differential. Head-to-head is shown so you can settle the rest the way your club prefers.
