The game value in Skat

How do you calculate the game value in Skat?

A suit or grand game is worth its base value times a multiplier. The base values are 9 for diamonds, 10 for hearts, 11 for spades, 12 for clubs and 24 for grand. The multiplier starts with the matadors, the jacks in an unbroken run from the jack of clubs and then the top trumps, counted "with" or "without", and adds 1 for game.

It then adds 1 each for hand (the skat was not picked up), schneider (the losing side took 30 card points or fewer), schneider announced, schwarz (the losing side took no trick), schwarz announced and ouvert. So clubs with 2, won with schneider, is 2 + 1 + 1 = 4 × 12 = 48, and grand hand with 2 is 4 × 24 = 96. Null games are fixed at 23, 35 for hand, 46 for ouvert and 59 for ouvert hand.

The value has to reach the bid. If a jack turns up in the skat and the value falls short, the game is overbid and lost at the lowest multiple of its base value that reaches the bid. Bid 30 and play diamonds with 1 (worth 18) and the game is lost at 36. A lost game counts double, so that is minus 72.

In Score All you pick the game, the matadors, hand, ouvert, any announcement and the card points the declarer took, and the app shows the value on the score sheet as it scores it, overbids included.
