How sepak takraw scoring works
Sepak takraw uses rally scoring: every rally is a point, sets go to 21, and a set must be won by two points up to a cap of 25.
Sets to 21
A set is won at 21 with a two-point lead; from 20-20 play continues until one side leads by two or reaches 25. A match is best of three sets.
Serving
International play alternates the serve every three points. Older rules gave the serve to the side that won the rally.
Three touches
A side may touch the ball up to three times before it crosses the net, with the feet, knees, chest or head but never the hands.
Older scoring
Before rally scoring, only the serving side could score and sets went to 15. Some clubs still play it, and it is a preset here.
What Score All does with these rules
Sets to 21
Every rally is a point. A set goes to 21 and must be won by two, but stops at 25. Two sets win the match.
Serving
International play alternates the serve every three points; some events give the serve to the rally winner. Both are settings, and the console shows who serves.
Regu, doubles and quadrant
Three a side is the classic regu; doubles and quadrant (four a side) use the same scoring.
Older rules
Side-out scoring to 15, where only the serving team scores, and a shorter deciding set are options for clubs that still play them.
