How POP tennis scoring works

POP tennis uses tennis scoring, usually played no-ad: 15-30-40, one deciding point at 40-40, and sets to six games with a tiebreak at 6-6. Each point gets one serve.

Points and games

Points run 15, 30, 40, game. At 40-40 the next point wins the game (no-ad). Some players use advantage scoring instead.

Tiebreak sets

A set is won at six games with a two-game lead, with a seven-point tiebreak at 6-6. Short sets to 4 and a 10-point match tiebreak are common for social play.

One serve

Each point gets a single serve. A fault loses the point.

The court and equipment

A smaller court than tennis, a solid paddle and a low-compression ball. None of it changes how the score is counted.
