The double blank in Mexican Train
How many points is the double blank worth in Mexican Train?
Counted by its dots, the double blank is worth nothing: there are no pips on either end. Under the basic rules, a player caught holding it at the end of a round adds 0 for it.
Many tables, and the rules that come with some domino sets, change that: the double blank left in your hand costs 50 points. It turns the last domino anyone wants to be holding into a real penalty, especially in the final round, which starts from the double blank itself.
A less common rule counts every blank end as 25, so a blank-five costs 30 and the double blank 50.
In Score All the blank rule is a setting when you start the game. With the 50-point rule on, each player's row has a box to tick when they were caught with the double blank, and the 50 is added for you.
