How team handball scoring works
Team handball scoring is one point a goal, and the busy part is the number of goals and the two-minute suspensions.
Two halves
Thirty minutes each at senior level, with a stopped clock for timeouts and stoppages. Youth games are shorter.
Goals
One point each, from open play or a 7-meter throw (the handball penalty).
Suspensions
A two-minute suspension leaves the team a player short. A third suspension for the same player is a disqualification.
Extra time and 7-meter throws
A tied knockout plays two halves of 5 minutes; if still level, a second extra time of two 5-minute halves; then five 7-meter throws per team and sudden death.
What Score All does with these rules
Two halves
Thirty minutes each at senior level, shorter for youth and school games. The clock runs on the server and is started and paused from the phone.
Goals
Every goal is one point, from open play or a 7-meter throw. Tap the team that scored.
Suspensions
A two-minute suspension leaves a team a player short; a third one for the same player is a disqualification. Tap Suspension for the team and the count stays under its score.
Extra time and 7 meters
League games can end in a draw. A tied knockout plays two 5-minute halves of extra time, a second extra time if still level, then five 7-meter throws each and sudden death. Here each extra time is one 10-minute overtime.
