Blocked games in dominoes

Who wins a blocked game of dominoes?

A game is blocked when nobody can play: every player passes, and in a draw game the boneyard is empty as well. The hand ends with everyone still holding tiles.

The usual rule is that the lightest hand wins: whoever has the fewest pips left takes the hand, as if they had gone out. In a partnership game each team adds its two hands together and the lighter team wins.

What the winner scores varies. Most often it is the pips left in the other hands, rounded to the nearest five in All Fives. Some tables subtract the winner's own pips first, and partnership games sometimes count every tile still in hand. If two hands tie for the lightest, nobody scores.

In Score All the blocked-game rule is a setting. Leave "Went out" on Nobody when you enter the hand, and the app finds the lightest hand and adds the count your table plays.
